Silvita Diaz Brown is a yoga instructor, movement teacher, choreographer and dancer. She holds a BFA in Dance from (Universidad de Las Américas Puebla, Mexico) a MFA in Theatre with Movement Teaching Diploma (York University Toronto.) She also earned two yoga certifications from Chicago Yoga Center and Core Power Yoga. Silvita has been teaching yoga and movement since 2005 and has been a yoga practitioner since 2003. She has studied with Manju Pattahbi Jois, Paul Grilley, Suddha Weixler, and many wonderful teachers in Chicagoland, Toronto, Mexico and India. Silvita has practiced many styles of yoga, among them; Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Forrest, Iyengar, Anusara, Hatha, Hot Yoga and Yin. Silvita's devotion to Yoga has extended to her movement practice, art making, teaching, and life.

"My devotion to my yoga practice has extended to my teaching, and life. "Yoga is a way of living that brings me closer to happiness; the body expands, strengthens and relaxes, the mind settles its noise and the heart enlightens." It is my hope as a teacher to inspire my students and future teachers to find the light, mindfulness, awareness, strength and community that yoga brought to me and inspired me to be a better human.".
